A Movie Review

I saw A History of Violence with Sam on Thursday night and for some reason I can't seem to stop thinking about it. Part of the reason is because of the drunk couple sitting behind us who were talking like they were at a baseball game (which WE should have been at if the Braves had won, but I promise I won't get started on that again....) and Sam swore he could he could hear the guy breathing when he wasn't talking out loud. So we made a bold move to seats at the back of the theater for a more peaceful viewing experience only to have someone start kicking the back of my chair... The plot is taken from a graphic novel, but at times you forget that it is, unlike the black and white filming from Sin City or the surreal stuff in Constantine. The violence was overwhelming at times and I am seriously worried about the fact that I enjoyed this movie. Viggo Mortensen was intense and believable and the casting of William Hurt as his brother was a great move. Definitly worth checking out, but don't take the kids cause I think there were things in it that even I shouldn't have been watching... The question for those of you who see it is, do you think Eddi passes him the peas? Feel free to leave a comment, but try not to give anything away for those who haven't seen it yet!
