Meet Julia and Val...

Wow... could this picture look anything less like me and Lee?!? I look like the Asian version of Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Lee looks like Val Kilmer in Top Gun.

We got this beauty drawn at 6 Flags this week. Went on a Monday afternoon-- no lines, lots of sunshine, new rollercoasters... it was great! Got to ride most of the rides about several times in a row. Now on some level you do miss out on the whole experience of standing in line and anticipating the ride. But all I know if I got to ride the Batman ride three times in a row and that sucker normally averages a wait time of 1 and 1/2 hours in the summer!

So as most of you know, Lee has "officially" been deployed. He is at Camp Shelby in Mississippi getting his final training before heading to Kuwait in June and then Iraq in July. He's on lockdown though, so no one is able to actually see him even though we can still talk to him on his cell phone. Thanks for everyone's concern, but I'm doing ok so far and not in danger of drowning my sorrows in large amounts of tequila. The key is keeping busy with my work and hopefully the next 2 years should go by fairly quickly.

During his time in Iraq, Lee is going to be writing a weekly article for the Daily Mississippian (a paper published by the students at Ole Miss and then distributed daily around Mississippi). It's basically gonna be his personal account of what it's like to be a student going to war. The links for the first two articles are here: #1 Dealing with going to war and #2- Difference in military ranks.

Lee has joined the My Space craze, and that's usually a pretty good way to reach him.

So basically, we're doing good, life goes on, and we got to meet Batman. He was so hot-- or at least his jaw was really hot, and isn't that all that really matters when you're Batman? The suit does the rest for you :)
