I'm not Mexican!!

Ok, so I've tried to stay out of this debate for my own sanity and my own lack of time with work at school, but now it's getting nuts. ILLEGAL immigrants are boycotting buying anything today because they want to show that they could RUIN our country without their monetary support. Give me a freaking break....

So as an American, I am about to go break the bank and fill up my gas tank, do my grocery shopping, and order some clothes online. Boycotting the country you're trying to infiltrate and become members of does not seem very wise in my mind. But maybe I'm wrong and just need someone who knows more about this to set the record straight.
