Maybe it's a Southern thing

So here's something I don't truly understand: giving your child your exact name. Jr, Sr. the III, etc... it just doesn't make sense to me. I've always had a thing about this, especially after I discovered that Lee plans on naming his firstborn Lee Will Berry, V. Ok, so I mean on some level I get it. It's pretty cool that a name is able to last for so long and be passed down to each firstborn male. It's fun when your mail gets mixed up and you can choose whose credit rating you want to use in the bank. But I'm all about the originality. I don't really want another little Sheara running around. I think the world has its hands full dealing with me as it is. And eventually someone is going to want to stop using the same name. I mean other than Louis, how many other XIV's do you know? Why not let it stop with me?!?!

Now before you blog readers think that this is an open field day to attack Lee's name, it's not. This is one of those unfair, hypocritical situations where I get to critcize something, but you are not. It's my blog and that's how it goes :)

But I digress a bit. The real reason for this post is a name I heard during confirmation in church yesterday. Matthew Player Loving, Jr.

You've got to be kidding me.... the first time around didn't provide enough jokes?
